边鸡-右玉鸡: 是山西地方品种鸡
属蛋肉兼用型鸡种。体型中等，身躯宽深，前胸发达，背平而宽，胫长且粗壮。
冠型以单冠为主，间有少量的草莓冠、豌豆冠与个别的冠羽。
公鸡冠形直立、母鸡冠形较小，有明显的S状弯曲，冠色鲜红。虹彩呈红色或黑红色，脸，肉垂，耳叶均呈红色，有胫羽，胫多呈黑色。
公鸡的羽色主要分为红黑和黄黑色，个别为黄白和白灰色。母鸡的羽色有白，灰，黑，浅黄，麻黄，杂色七种类型。
成年鸡体重：公1825克，母1505克。成年鸡屠宰率：半净膛，公79%，母73.8%；全净膛，公73%，母67.5%。开产日龄240天，年产蛋100个，蛋重66克，蛋壳深褐色占70%，其余均呈褐色或浅褐色。
