奥尔良公司由广东五金业的黄周先生于2001年在广州成立。经过八年的发展，奥尔良公司已经成为中国较大的私人雇主和世界上较大的电子锁及保险箱生产商。目前，奥尔良锁具及保险箱在全球出口了超过100家酒店，采购商总数500多人，主要分布在全球14个国家。每周光临奥尔良工厂的外商至少1人次。
奥尔良目前已经在五金行业内8大类锁具及保险箱中开发了48种产品，包括接触式插卡门锁、非接触式感应卡门锁、接触式磁卡门锁、非接触式一卡通门锁、接触式IB卡桑拿柜锁、非接触式ID卡桑拿柜锁、非接触式一卡通桑拿柜锁、密码保险箱等8大类，其中门锁27种、柜锁7种、保险箱14种。
目前，奥尔良采购的原料中本地产品达到95%以上，与近50家供应商建立了合作关系。奥尔良一贯视供应商为合作伙伴，与供应商共同发展。此外，奥尔良每年直接产品出口金额约为100万美元，估计间接出口金额也超过50万美元。
