Polyethylene Heat Shrinkable Sleeve for Anticorrsion Coating of Oil and Gas Pipeline Product Description
Heat shrinkable sleeve/belt is suitable for steel pipe with 3-layer PE or 2-layer PE anti-corrosion system,fusion bonded epoxy,insulated pipe jacket and HDPE drainage pipeline.
On the basic of the original product(heat shrinkable sleeve/belt with 2 layers) Qingdao Huashida Machinery Co., Ltd. has developed the 3-layer fiber reinforced PE heat shrinkable sleeve/belt is composed of cross-linked polyethylene back, a middle layer of fiber and special heat melt adhesive. The 3 layer reinforced sleeve/belt gives better shrink ratio, and better strength. It is resistant to corrosion, wear, impact, UV and aging, easier to be operated.
Application scope:
The heat shrinkable sleeve/belt is designed to be applied with minimum preheating and is ideal for large diameter wastewater pipe, steel pipe with 3-layer PE protection system and pre-insulated pipeline joint closure.

Construction procedure
1. Clean the steel pipe and heat it by fire till over 80 ºC
2. Paint the steel pipe with Primer (mixed with A&B)
3. Fire heat the heat shrink sleeve, be attention to start heating from middle of the sleeve, but act from up and down, and gradually move from middle to two sides of sleeve, in order to drive air out of the sleeve, after finish heating, the good result is that there is about 1-2mm hot adhesive melt at the edge of sleeve.
