Cure inhibition
Silicone rubber compound will cure in contact with most clean, dry surfaces. However, certain materials, such as butyl and chlorinated rubber, materials containing sulfur, amines, and non-platinum RTV silicone rubber compounds will cause cure inhibition and rubber will not cure.If compatibility between the rubber and the surface is in question, a small scale test is recommended.
How to use
Mixing
Dispensing required amounts of Parts A and B into mixing container (1A:1B by volume or weight), making sure that you scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container several times. After mixing parts A and B, vacuum degassing is recommended to eliminate any entrapped air in liquid silicone rubber.
Pouring
For best results, pour your mixture in a single spot at the lowest point of the containment field. Let the rubber seek its own level. A uniform flow will help minimize entrapped air.It is recommended to use an automatic glue filling machine, and the silicone rubber does not generate air bubbles during the stirring and filling process.
Curing
Silicone will cure to a flexible rubber within 24 hours at room temperature (22°C-25°C) and the mold can then be separated from the original. High temperature cures fast, low temperature cures slowly. The best bonding performance of the adhesive silicone can be achieved after the silicone has been cured for 72 hours.
Storage
When stored at or below 30°C in the original unopened containers, this product has a usable life of 12 months from the date of production. Storing material at warmer temperatures will also reduce the usable shelf life of unused material.Silicone rubber will precipitate during long-term storage, and the precipitate is a flame retardant and thermally conductive material. It is used after stirring evenly without affecting the use and quality.

Q: What is Silicone Encapsulating Rubber?
A: Silicone Encapsulating Rubber refers to a type of silicone-based material used for encapsulation purposes. It involves the process of surrounding or coating an object or material with silicone rubber for protection or insulation.
Q: What are the key properties of Silicone Encapsulating Rubber?
A: Silicone Encapsulating Rubber typically possesses excellent thermal stability, electrical insulation properties, resistance to moisture, chemicals, and weathering, along with good flexibility and high dielectric strength.
Q: What are the applications of Silicone Encapsulating Rubber?
A: This material finds application in various industries such as electronics, automotive, aerospace, and more. It is used for potting electronic components, providing insulation, and protecting delicate parts from environmental factors or mechanical stress.
Q: How is Silicone Encapsulating Rubber applied or used?
A: Silicone Encapsulating Rubber is usually applied through potting or molding techniques. Components are placed in a mold or container, and then the liquid or uncured silicone rubber is poured, injected, or cast around them. After curing, it forms a protective, encapsulating layer.
Q: What factors should be considered while selecting Silicone Encapsulating Rubber?
A: Factors such as the intended use (electronic potting, protection from harsh environments, etc.), desired flexibility, thermal conductivity, electrical insulation properties, and the curing process are important considerations.
Q: Can Silicone Encapsulating Rubber be customized for specific applications?
A: Yes, Silicone Encapsulating Rubber formulations can be tailored to meet specific requirements such as different hardness levels, colors, or specialized properties needed for particular applications.
