The long fiber part is rich in cellulose and is suitable for producing dissolving pulp; while the short fiber part is rich in hemicellulose and is suitable for papermaking. The pulp yield (dissolving pulp + paper grade pulp) of this new process reaches 49%, which is significantly higher than the traditional pre-hydrolysis alkaline cooking process.
