Titanium Seamless Tubing
Tubular products are drawn from tube hollows, which are made by piercing a billet or by a hot extrusion process. Seamless is ideal for very heavy diameter to wall ratios and offers very good outside dimensional tolerances.

About Grade 2 Titanium Tube
Our CP Grade 2 tubes have a density of 4.51 g/cm3, which is 45% lower than ferrous alloys. It is a medium-strength alloy with a typical yield strength of 352 MPa. The alloy has good ductility, formability and welding properties. The addition of iron and oxygen improves strength and formability. CP Grade 2 exhibits similar performance qualities to Grade 1, including excellent corrosion resistance under oxidizing conditions. However, this titanium tube is stronger than Grade 1 titanium tube.

seamless titanium tubes and welded titanium tubes, which have excellent ductility and cold formability, and are ideal for deep drawing. Grade 1 titanium tubes are known for their good general and seawater corrosion resistance and excellent resistance to oxidizing, neutral and slightly reducing media (solutions) (including chlorides).
Titanium's low density (about half that of nickel-based alloys), high strength, light weight and corrosion resistance make it an excellent choice for a variety of harsh chemical conditions. Execution standards are: ASTM B338 | ASTM B265 | ASME SB265 | ASTM F67 | ISO 5832-2 | 3.7025 | UNS R50250
Grade 2 Titanium Tube (UNS R50400 / Werkstoff WS 3.7034)This is the most often used titanium tube for industrial applications, providing a superb balance of moderate strength and reasonable ductility. It offers excellent corrosion resistance in both highly oxidising and slightly reducing conditions (including chlorides). It provides good corrosion protection in the chemical and offshore industries, as well as aircraft manufacture, where strength and ease of forming are required. It's also utilised in heat exchangers, hypochlorite systems, fire water systems, ballast water systems, industrial and aerospace components, CPI equipment, and pipes.
FabricationTitanium Grade 2 responds well to cold forming using standard methods. It can be readily machined, but special attention must be paid to maintaining sharp tools and the liberal use of coolant. As with machining austenitic stainless steels, cuts should be deep and continuous with slow feeds and speeds.Stock AvailabilityDaxun Alloys stocks CP 2 Grade Titanium Seamless and Welded Pipes in a variety of sizes.Weight ReductionCP 2 grade titanium tubes have low density and a high strength-to-weight ratio, making them suitable for applications where weight reduction is required without sacrificing overall strength. They are cold formable, have good ductility, and can be welded using conventional TIG and MIG processes, although inert gas shielding is required to prevent embrittlement of the weld zone.Crystal StructureAt room temperature, ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium tube has an alpha (hexagonal close-packed) crystal structure, just like commercially pure titanium grades 1 and 3. At about 885°C [1625°F], it transforms to a beta (body-centered cubic) structure. This transformation temperature can be increased or decreased depending on the type and amount of impurities or alloying additions. The addition of alloying elements also divides the single temperature of the equilibrium transformation into two temperature zones: the alpha transformation zone, below which the alloy is all alpha, and the beta transformation zone, above which the alloy is all beta. Between these two temperatures, both alpha and beta forms exist. Typical alpha and beta transformation temperatures for grade 2 titanium are 890°C (1635°F) and 913°C (1675°F), respectively.Grade 2 Titanium Seamless Pipe Manufacturing ProcessDaxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium seamless tubes are made from hollow blanks by hot extrusion process or oblique rolling and piercing process, followed by multiple cold rolling processes. Titanium seamless tubes should have continuous perimeters at all stages of the manufacturing operation. The de novo manufacturing of titanium seamless tubes mainly includes: sponge titanium vacuum arc melting ingot blanking to get hollow blanks cleaning cutting and feeding hot extrusion, or oblique rolling + piercing degreasing drying cutting online annealing and straightening pickling multiple cold rolling degreasing drying vacuum annealing straightening cutting pickling final inspection marking (DAXUN) and packaging.Grade 2 Titanium Welded Pipe Manufacturing ProcessDaxun's ASTM B338 Grade 2 titanium welded pipe is made of annealed flat-rolled steel plate or steel strip using automatic arc welding (TIG) process. The main production processes include: titanium plate uncoilingshearing butt welding cleaning pipe forming TIG welding eddy current testing pre-sizing annealing precision reducing and sizing straightening eddy current testing caliper marking cutting ultrasonic testing hydrostatic testing final inspection packaging. Welded pipes should be subjected to at least one stress relief heat treatment after forming and welding. Daxun uses any filler materials during the welding process.
Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Pipe- Grade 5 Titanium Tube
Titanium Alloy - (UNS R56400)
Introduction
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 (UNS R56400) is the most popular titanium alloy. It is a duplex alpha+beta titanium alloy using aluminum as the alpha stabilizer and vanadium as the beta stabilizer. This high-strength alloy can be used at low temperatures of about 800°F (427°C). ATI Ti-6Al-4V, Grade 5 alloy is used for annealing, solution treating, and aging. Compressor blades, disks, and rings for jet engines; fuselage and space capsule components; pressure vessels; rocket engine cases; helicopter rotor hubs; fasteners; and critical forgings with a high strength-to-weight ratio.
The alloy is initially melted using vacuum arc (VAR), electron beam (EB), or plasma arc hearth melting (PAM). Remelting is achieved in one or two vacuum arc steps.

DAXUN 6-4 Grade 5 Titanium Tube can be heat treated in a variety of ways.
1. Annealing: 1,275 -1,400°F; (691 - 760°C), ½ to 2 hours, air or furnace cool
2. Stress Relief Annealing: 1,000 -1,200°F; (538 - 649°C), 1 to 8 hours, air or furnace cool
3. Solution Heat Treating: 1,675 -1,750°F; (913 - 954°C), 1 hour, water quench
4. Aging: 975 -1,025°F; (524 - 552°C), 4 to 8 hours - air cool
Optimum Properties
Small cross sections with rapid quenching are obtained in the solution treated and aged condition. Larger cross-section sizes and/or delayed quenching may result in less than optimal properties.
Hardness
Typical hardness in the annealed condition is Rockwell C 30-34 and approximately Rockwell C 35-39 in the solution and aged condition.
Forgeability/Formability
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 Titanium Tube is forged at 1,750°F (954°C) with a final forging temperature of 1,450°F (788°C). A reduction of at least 35% is recommended for best results.
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 Titanium Tube is difficult to form at room temperature, even when annealed. Therefore, severe forming operations such as bending or stretching can be performed on the annealed material at temperatures up to 1,200°F (649°C) without changing its mechanical properties. Creep forming can be used for hot sizing or forming at temperatures ranging from 1,000 to 1,200°F (538 to 649°C).
Machinability
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 Titanium Tube can be machined using machining methods for austenitic stainless steels, with slow speeds, high feeds, good tool rigidity, and the use of large amounts of non-chlorinated cutting fluids.
Weldability
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube Grade 5 Titanium Tube is readily weldable in the annealed or solution and partially aged conditions, with aging
accomplished during post-weld heat treatment. Precautions must be taken to avoid contamination with oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. Fusion welding may be performed in an inert gas-filled chamber or with the use of an inert gas tail shield over the molten metal and nearby hot zones. Spot welding, seam welding, and flash welding may all be performed without the use of a protective atmosphere.
Special Considerations
DAXUN Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Tube, Grade 5 Titanium Tube may be contaminated with hydrogen from improper pickling and from the absorption of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon during forging, heat treating, brazing, etc. This contamination may reduce ductility and impair notch sensitivity and formability.FAQQ1: What products can you offer?
