Cold Shrinkable Cable Accessories Electrical Shrink Armor Wrap Tape
Armored tape also called armor wrap, industrial wrapping tape, armor cast or armor belt.

It is a flexible fiberglass knit fabric tape that has been saturated with a curable black polyurethane resin syrup that starts to cure when water is added. Once wet, the fiber tape becomes tacky and sticks to itself.

Introduction of Armor cast

1.Armorcast Structural Material is resistant to moisture, fungus, acid, alkali, ozone, sunlight, gasoline
and high temperatures.

How to use the Armor cast

1.Prepare the surface by cleaning and roughening the cable.
2.Put on enclosed latex gloves.
3.Put water into the packing bag, press several seconds and take out the tape. Squeeze out excess water.
4.Apply around the cable extending up to 50mm either side of the cable to ensure complete coverage. It is important that the bandage is applied.
5.Quickly as curing begins once it is taken out of the water.
6.When wrapping, pull each layer tightly by using your hand to mould and squeeze the layers together.
7.Continue this action during and upon completion.
Application of Armor cast
1. Recommend for the pipeline leakage not exceeding 1/8" in diameter and pipe size 2" diameter
May be used with good results on pipe with a temperature range from -29°c to 121°c.
2. Used on electrode holder arm to ensure the welding strength and protect the electrode holder in the car
or ship industry etc.
3. The connection of the 10KV, 35KV single-core or three- core cold shrinkable cable connector,
also the protection of the hot shrinkage cable connector.
4. Other occasions of repairing for the rigid purpose, such as the bars of the garden tools etc
Features of Armor cast
1. Using wet type of rubber with high resistance to sunlight as the backing material net cloth backing, easy to use,
wrap on the cable accessories or electric cable directly outside protective layer to form a high strength,
can strengthen the mechanical protection of connectors and cables.
2. Once wet, the fiber strip becomes tacky and sticks to itself
3. Compatible with coaxial, copper, fiber cables, polyethylene or lead-sheathed cable, pressurized and non-pressurized cable
4. Ideal for strengthening old cables, splices and auxiliary seals
5. Fast and easy to apply, yet hardens to a strong and maintenance-free coating
6. Resists moisture, acids, alkalis, ozone, gasoline and high temperatures.
7. Can be used on pressurized or nonpressurized cable and on either polyethylene or leadsheathed cable
