Main Products
The early application of phosphating technology was rust prevention. Steel parts were treated with phosphating to form a layer of phosphating film, which played a role in rust prevention. After phosphating and rust prevention treatment, the rust prevention period of workpieces can reach several months or even years (for oiled workpieces), and it is widely used for rust prevention between processes, transportation, packaging, storage, and use. Rust prevention and rust prevention phosphating mainly includes three types: iron based phosphating, zinc based phosphating, and manganese based phosphating.
The main component of the iron based phosphating solution is ferrous phosphate solution, which does not contain oxidizing promoters and has a high free acidity. This iron based phosphating treatment has a temperature higher than 95 ºC, a treatment time of over 30 minutes, a phosphating film weight greater than 10g/m2, and dual functions of rust removal and phosphating. This high-temperature iron based phosphating is rarely used nowadays due to its slow phosphating speed.
Manganese based phosphating has the best performance as an anti rust phosphating agent, and the microstructure of the phosphating film is densely packed with particles, making it the most widely used anti rust phosphating agent. Both with and without accelerators can be used. If nitrate or nitroguanidine accelerators are added, the phosphating film formation speed can be accelerated. Usually, the processing temperature is 80-100 ºC, the processing time is 10-20 minutes, and the membrane weight is above 7.5 grams/m2.
Zinc based phosphating is also a widely used anti rust phosphating method, usually using nitrate as a promoter, with a treatment temperature of 80-90 ºC and a treatment time of 10-15 minutes. The weight of the phosphating film is greater than 7.5g/m2, and the microstructure of the phosphating film is generally needle plate tightly packed.
General process flow of rust prevention and phosphating:
Oil and rust removal → water cleaning → surface adjustment and activation → phosphating → water cleaning → chromate treatment → drying → grease coating or dyeing treatment
1. In order to fulfill various requirements on process flow and production output, there multiple sets of transporter been equipped for this line. Each transporter could be vertical elevating, horizontal movement and travelling with high speed, they are fully automatic and controlled by PLC.
2. This is a fully automatic gantry type barrel plating line, and all of the works are completed by gantry type transporter except loading and unloading.
3. Transporter is moving, the alarm lamp on. Vertical lifting and horizontal movement have three speeds (low, high, low), transporter's start and stop will not cause inertia wobble, meanwhile can ensure the speed and precision fixed position
4. Easy operation: Operators just simply choose the programs which had pre-entered into the PLC; gantry transporters will finish the rest of works.
5. Transporter precise positioning: Transporter positioning adopt absolute position, each tank has unique bar code, which could prevent transporter misplacement; Safety and reliable operation: we installed guard railing in order to avoid transporter bump into worker, With protected block and control devices to prevent the driving out of orbit, Safety rope connected to emergency brake were installed at both side of entire plating line to prevent from any safety hazardous during daily operation.
6. Basic operation instruction: first, worker will open the lid of barrel, put some products which need plating into the barrel, manually close the lid of barrel, choose the operation instruction, and then transporter will work immediately. Transporter will be moved to the loading station under the written programmed condition, barrel with product begin to up and move to the first tank then vertical putting the product down to the tank,…, the rest can be done in the same manner; when the sensor gives signal indicating that there is no barrel on this unloading station, the transporter will take the barrel with products down to the unloading station, the whole production process is completed.
