For instance, when dealing with an angle valve, note that as it threads into the wall's inner thread, it typically turns clockwise. Hence, wrap the PTFE tape counterclockwise to match this motion, ensuring the angle valve tightens securely without loosening.3. While wrapping, make sure to tighten the PTFE thread seal tape so that it adheres firmly to the threads. Strive for maximum tightness without slack. After wrapping, press and rotate the tape to ensure it is snug, or wrap while applying pressure.4. Regarding the number of wraps, there is no strict rule; wrap sufficiently to ensure there are no leaks. Experience suggests that wrapping more than ten times generally achieves optimal sealing.5. When tightening the threads, avoid excessive force. Apply gentle pressure; it need not be overly tight to prevent leaks. A firm hand pressure is usually adequate.
