The vibrating pile hammer employs high-frequency vibrations to induce pile body vibration with high acceleration. This transmits vertical mechanical vibrations to the pile, altering the soil structure around it and reducing strength. The soil around the piles starts to liquefy, decreasing frictional resistance between the pile sides and the soil.
