Remark: The two pairs of internal-external clamp legs of the clamp move individually when lifting vertical coil, and they hold the two walls at the diametric direction operation. When the vertical coil is lift, the bottom surface of it should be absolutely horizontal. When operation, the clamp and steel coil hasnt relative slip, and he steel coils wont be damaged. The clamping force which jaw of clamp applies on steel coils is one time smaller than the one of the clamp with one jaw of clamp. The contact stress is small, which give less damage on steel coils by clamp.

MECHANICAL SYSTEM: when the vertical coil tong is on the coil, the ratchet turns of 90° and the levers open. As soon as the tong starts to raise, the coil is clamped between its inner and outer jaws.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SYSTEM: Vertical coil tongs operating depend upon a rack mechanism: the pinion is fed by a motorized worm gear box. The rack is integral with the gripping legs. This mechanism allows the opening and closing of the tong. They are usually used in hard workplaces marked by burdensome working conditions and hard handling. They can be used for all industrial applications in every kind of environment.
