Product Description
PBT plastic raw material (Polybutylene Terephthalate), also known as polybutylene terephthalate, is a milky white translucent to opaque crystalline thermoplastic polyester. PBT materials have high strength and rigidity, especially glass additive type PBT, whose tensile strength can be as high as 170MPa. This allows PBT to maintain a stable shape when subjected to large external forces and is not easy to deform. Therefore, it is suitable for manufacturing parts with high structural strength requirements, such as automobile bumpers and industrial machinery brackets. After repeated stress, PBT materials can still maintain good performance and are not prone to fatigue damage. This feature can extend the service life of the product, making it often used in the manufacture of parts that need to withstand dynamic loads for a long time, such as gears and springs. PBT has low water absorption and a small thermal expansion coefficient, so its dimensional changes are very small under different temperature and humidity environments. This excellent dimensional stability can ensure the accuracy and reliability of the product during use, and is particularly suitable for manufacturing parts for precision instruments and electronic equipment, such as connectors and switches. Under high temperature conditions, PBT materials have very little creep phenomenon, that is, the material has a small degree of deformation under long-term stress and can maintain good mechanical properties. This property makes PBT suitable for some parts that work in high temperature environments and have strict dimensional accuracy requirements.

Processing Parameters
Instructions
1. The setting of processing technical parameters of PBTproducts is depending on the structure of extruder screw and its ength-diameter ratio;
2. The first stage of cooling water temperature setting is determined by the customers in accordance with their request to control the final excel length of the optic fibers;
3. The production line speed is set according to the rheological property of the PBT material itself.

3. Principles for Temperature Setting
a) Ordinary Extruder Screw: To follow the principle of "Lower at two ends and higher in the middles", for example:
Zone 1: 240 - 245ºC Zone 2: 255 - 260ºC Zone 3: 255 - 260ºC Zone 4: 250 - 255ºC
b) BM Extruder Screw: On the principle of "Higher at two ends and lower in the middles", for example:
Zone 1: 260 - 265ºC Zone 2: 250 - 255ºC Zone 3: 250 - 255ºC Zone 4: 255 - 260ºC
4. Basis of Rational Judging for Temperature Setting:
After setting a certain production line speed (the tractive speed), observe the motor load of the extruder to check whether the load value is floating within +/-5% of it. If so, the production could start on a normal scale. If not, slightly adjust the setting temperatures at Zone 2 and Zone 4 in order to meet with the extruder main motor load floating in the range of +/-5% of it. Temperature Setting of Cooling Water at the First Stage
Temperature setting of cooling water at the first stage for Series DH products depends on the customers' request to finally control their excel length of optic fibers. Because the glass transforming of normal PBT is happened under the turning temperature value Tg among 37-45ºC, it should set the temperature of cooling water at the first stage within the range of 35 - 50ºC; However it must be noticed that in consideration of the environmental temperature changing with the weather of all the year round, the temperature setting value of the cooling water at the first stage should be slightly adjusted in a proper way so as to keep the control of excel length of optic fibers stable.
Production Speed (Tractive Speed)
The production speed (tractive speed) is decided by customers in accordance with the rheological property of PBT itself.
The production speed (tractive speed) with 100-550 m/min is recommended by our company.

In accordance with the rheological curves (Shearing Viscosity - Shearing Rate) of Series DH products, our company recommends the best proper processing technical parameters as follows:
1)Processing temperature ranges: 240-70ºC;

There are two kinds of Dehong's packing for PBT compound:
1. Jumbo Bag:
The jumbo bag is combined by two layers. Its outside layer is made by plastic woven fabric. The inside one is made by aluminium foil, which shall be tightly sealed after full loading.
One 20' container could load 10 pallets. One pallet could load 2 jumbo bags with one overlaid on another. One jumbo bag could pack 900kg of PBT compound. The 20' container could load 2 jumbo bag x 10 pallet = 20 jumbo bags. So the container could load 900kg x 20 jumbo bag = 18,000kg of PBT compound.
The overall dimentions of the pallet with two jumbo bags are L 1.15m * W 1.15m * H 2.2m.
2. Small Bag:
The small bag is combined with two layers. Its outside layer is made by kraft with plastic liner. The inside layer is made by aluminium foil, which shall be tightly sealed after full loading.
One 20' container could load 20 pallets with one pallet overlaid on another.A total of two small package of pallet packaging.One pallet could be laid by 25kg x 32 small bag = 800kg of PBT compound.One pallet could be laid by 25kg x 40 small bag = 1000kg of PBT compound.Therefore the container could load 800kg x 10 pallet+1000kg×10 pallet = 18,000kg of PBT compound.
The overall dimensions of the pallet with 36 small bags are L 1.2m * W 1.1m * H 1m.
The overall dimensions of the pallet with 40 small bags are L 1.2m * W 1.1m * H 1.2m.
