Product Description
The processing technology of corn starch mainly includes the following steps: raw material preparation, cleaning and soaking, crushing, embryo separation, grinding, screening, precipitation, drying, and packaging.
Firstly, select fresh and mold free corn as the raw material, and clean and soak it. The purpose of cleaning is to remove impurities and soil from the surface of corn, while soaking is to allow corn to fully absorb water and facilitate subsequent processing.
The next steps are to crush and separate the embryo. After soaking, corn is crushed to separate the embryo from the endosperm. Then, impurities and unwanted parts are removed through screening and washing.
Then, the crushed slurry is ground to make the starch particles finer for further separation. After grinding, the slurry undergoes precipitation, causing starch particles to settle to the bottom, and the upper layer is a liquid containing proteins and fibers.
The precipitated starch needs to be dried, usually by high-temperature drying or other drying equipment to remove moisture and obtain dried corn starch. Finally, the dried starch is sieved and packaged to remove impurities and uneven particles, and then stored or distributed.
