Application of CNC vertical lathe:
Vertical CNC lathes are mainly used for processing large and heavy workpieces with large radial dimensions but relatively small axial dimensions and complex shapes. Such as cylindrical surfaces, end faces, conical surfaces, cylindrical holes, conical holes, etc. for various types of discs, wheels, and sleeve workpieces.
Vertical lathes have the following advantages compared to horizontal lathes of the same specification:
1. When the workpiece is clamped under its own weight, it can ensure a tight fit between the reference plane and the fixture, reduce the gravitational inertia of the part itself, and thus achieve high-precision and high stability machining results:
2. For thin-walled and irregular parts, it is easier to process, and the upper and lower parts are easier;
3. For irregular parts that are difficult to grip, fixture manufacturing is easier:
4. The floor area of the entire machine is 1/2 of that of a horizontal lathe of the same specification

At present, our company produces more than 30 types of vertical cars in five categories. For sizes below 1250, the spindle adopts a spindle unit structure, and a low-speed high torque motor drives the spindle to rotate through a belt. According to the different structural layouts of the machine tool, it can be divided into three categories: wall panel vertical lathe, beam vertical lathe, and single column vertical lathe.
Spindles with specifications above 1250 adopt a gearbox structure, and the motor torque is transmitted to the spindle through belts and series gears. The machine tool has good rigidity and high torque, with a maximum spindle torque of over 20000nm, suitable for processing medium to large parts.
1, The sturdy casting structure of the machine tool is a guarantee of high rigidity and stability during long-term use of the equipment. The box type inner cavity reinforcement plate adopts cross shaped reinforcement and rice shaped reinforcement, and is optimized and designed using simulation software to make the machine tool highly rigid. The material adopts a high-grade gray cast iron resin sand casting process, which has high strength and good shock absorption. Important fixed joint surfaces need to be scraped and polished to improve flatness and contact accuracy, with good stability. And it is required to reach 6-8 points per square inch.
2, The X-axis and Z-axis are driven by servo motors and directly connected to ball screws through couplings. The ball screw adopts a pre tension installation method with two fixed ends. This installation method for CNC vertical lathe products improves the rigidity of the screw, which is about 4 times higher than the installation method with one end fixed and one end supported. At the same time, it also weakens the error caused by the elongation of the screw due to temperature rise.
3, The spindle motor directly drives the spindle to rotate through the pulley, reducing the power loss of mechanical transmission, and starting quickly and smoothly. The transmission belt adopts narrow V-belt or synchronous belt.
4, Hydraulic chucks are used for clamping. This series of chucks is waterproof, and there is a sealing strip at the sliding fit between the claw slide and the disc body, which can effectively prevent coolant from leaking into the spindle through the chuck and prevent chips from entering the sliding surface and damaging the slide. This chuck can easily replace various fixtures and fixtures, with fast and good adaptability. It can meet the requirements of users for processing various parts.
5, The machine tool is equipped with a hydraulic system, which controls the hydraulic chuck and the locking of the turret. The main hydraulic control components of the hydraulic system are selected from high-quality domestic products. The hydraulic oil tank is placed on one side of the base, and all main hydraulic components are installed in a stacked manner, with a compact structure and convenient installation.
6, The machine tool adopts a volumetric centralized quantitative automatic lubrication system, and the CNC system sets the operating time and interval time based on the actual oil demand under the working conditions. It also has liquid level alarm and pressure alarm functions. The lubrication system has stable and reliable performance, saving lubricating oil.
7, According to the different materials of the processed workpiece, chain plate chip conveyor and magnetic scraper chip conveyor can be selected and equipped. The chain plate chip conveyor is suitable for removing steel chips, while the magnetic scraper chip conveyor is suitable for removing cast iron chips. The chip conveyor is all automatic and can be controlled by the M command to start and stop the chip conveyor. The standard configuration is a chain plate chip conveyor.
