The condenser is one of the important equipment in the refrigeration system. It transfers the heat of the refrigerant superheated vapor to the surrounding air or water through the exothermic surface of the condenser. It is cooled into saturated vapor and further cooled into high-pressure liquid, which is recycled in the system. The following introduces the working principle and structure of common condensers.
Gas passes through a long pipe (usually coiled into a solenoid), allowing heat to dissipate into the surrounding air. Metals such as copper have strong thermal conductivity and are commonly used to transport steam. To improve the efficiency of the condenser, heat dissipation fins with excellent heat conduction performance are often attached to the pipeline, increasing the heat dissipation area to accelerate heat dissipation, and accelerating air convection through the fan to take away heat.
In the circulation system of a refrigerator, the compressor sucks in low-temperature and low-pressure refrigerant steam from the evaporator, which is adiabatic and compressed into high-temperature and high-pressure superheated steam by the compressor. It is then pressed into the condenser for constant pressure cooling and releases heat to the cooling medium, and then cooled into a supercooled liquid refrigerant. The liquid refrigerant is adiabatic throttled by the expansion valve to become a low-pressure liquid refrigerant. It evaporates and absorbs heat from the circulating water (air) of the air conditioning system in the evaporator, thereby cooling the circulating water of the air conditioning system to achieve the purpose of refrigeration. The low-pressure refrigerant that flows out is sucked into the compressor, and thus circulates.
