Security filters, also known as precision filters, are typically placed before pressure vessels to remove fine particles with a turbidity of over1 degree, in order to meet the water quality requirements of subsequent processes. Sometimes they are also placed at the end of the entire water treatment system to prevent fine (such as broken resin) from entering the finished water.
During filtration, the filter cartridge captures particles of different sizes according to the different densities of the filter medium, so the entire thickness of the filter medium layer plays a role in capturing particles.
The deep-bed filter cartridge, due to its graded density structure, possesses the to handle contaminant loads and filtration performance. It can intercept larger particles on the surface of the filter medium while capturing finer particles with increasingly dense layers of the filter.
Working principle:
The housing is made of stainless steel, and the filter cartridge is made of formed filter materials (polypropylene fiber melt-blown or woundcomb). Under the action of pressure, the original liquid passes through the filter material, leaving the filter residue on the filter material and allowing the filtered liquid to flow. This effectively removes impurities, sediment, and suspended solids, as well as bacteria, thus achieving the purpose of filtration.
