Our main products are widely used in metallurgy, petroleum, glass, aluminum manufacturing, petrochemical industry, coal mine, papermaking, printing, textile printing and dyeing, mechanical, electronic manufacturing, automobile manufacturing, plastic machinery, electric power, water conservancy, water treatment/environmental protection, boiler heating, energy, power transmission and distribution and so on.
Configuration The IC697 CPU and I/O system is configured with MS-DOS or Windows based programming software. There are no DIP switches or jumpers used to configure the system. The CPU verifies the actual module and rack configuration at power-up and periodically during operation. The actual configuration must be the same as the programmed configuration. Deviations are reported to the CPU alarm processor function for configured fault response. Consult Reference 1 for a description of configuration functions. Battery A lithium battery (IC697ACC701) is installed as shown in Figure 2. This battery maintains program and data memory when power is removed and operates the calendar clock. Be sure to install the new battery before removing the old battery. If during power-up diagnostics a low battery is detected, the MODULE OK LED (top LED) will not stay on. Specific indication of a low battery state is detailed in Reference 2. Removing a Module The instructions below should be followed when removing a module from its slot in a rack. Grasp the board firmly at the top and bottom of the board cover with your thumbs on the front of the cover and your fingers on the plastic clips on the back of the cover. Squeeze the rack clips on the back of the cover with your fingers to disengage the clip from the rack rail and pull the board firmly to remove it from the backplane connector. Slide the board along the card guide and remove it from the rack.gital Governor Manual 85018V1 vi Woodward Electrostatic Discharge Awareness All electronic equipment is static-sensitive, some components more than others. To protect these components from static damage, you must take special precautions to minimize or eliminate electrostatic discharges. Follow these precautions when working with or near the control. 1. Before doing maintenance on the electronic control, discharge the static electricity on your body to ground by touching and holding a grounded metal object (pipes, cabinets, equipment, etc.). 2. Avoid the build-up of static electricity on your body by not wearing clothing made of synthetic materials. Wear cotton or cotton-blend materials as much as possible because these do not store static electric charges as much as synthetics. 3. Keep plastic, vinyl, and Styrofoam materials (such as plastic or Styrofoam cups, cup holders, cigarette packages, cellophane wrappers, vinyl books or folders, plastic bottles, and plastic ash trays) away from the control, the modules, and the work area as much as possible.
4. Do not remove the printed circuit board (PCB) from the control cabinet unless absolutely necessary. If you must remove the PCB from the control cabinet, follow these precautions: • Do not touch any part of the PCB except the edges. • Do not touch the electrical conductors, the connectors, or the components with conductive devices or with your hands. • When replacing a PCB, keep the new PCB in the plastic antistatic protective bag it comes in until you are ready to install it. Immediately after removing the old PCB from the control cabinet, place it in the antistatic protective bag.
