BLDC motor uses the Trapezoidal control while PMSM motor uses the Sinusoidal control. The best thing is that our EZ controllers support both Trapezoidal control and Sinusoidal control in a single controller. User can choose/update the control firmware they like via free App provided (downloadable on controller page) over the air (OTA). Essentially, both BLDC and PMSM have distinct advantages and disadvantages.
